Love only Allah

LOVE only Allah

(Date written : 22 May 2015)

Al-Baqara : 165

وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَن يَتَّخِذُ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ أَندَادًا يُحِبُّونَهُمْ كَحُبِّ اللَّهِ ۖ وَالَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا أَشَدُّ حُبًّا لِّلَّهِ ۗ وَلَوْ يَرَى الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوٓا إِذْ يَرَوْنَ الْعَذَابَ أَنَّ الْقُوَّةَ لِلَّهِ جَمِيعًا وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ شَدِيدُ الْعَذَابِ

● And [yet], among the people are those who take other than Allah as equals [to Him]. They LOVE (YUHIBBU) them as they LOVE (KAHUBBI) Allah. But those who BELIEVE (AMANU) are STRONGEST IN LOVE (ASYADDU HUBBAN) for Allah. ..●

Aal-i-Imraan : 31

قُلْ إِن كُنتُمْ تُحِبُّونَ اللَّهَ فَاتَّبِعُونِى يُحْبِبْكُمُ اللَّهُ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ذُنُوبَكُمْ ۗ وَاللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ

●《Say, [O Muhammad], "If you LOVE (TUHIBBU) Allah, then FOLLOW ME (FATTABI'UNI), [so] Allah will love you and forgive you your sins. And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful." ●

It is VERY VERY CLEAR - that ONLY ALLAH that we should LOVE STRONGEST and not other than Allah including Prophet and Messenger Muhammad PBUH.

We cannot LOVE the Prophet and Messenger of Allah, the same as we LOVE ALLAH. That is SYIRIK (associating partner with Allah).

We should only FOLLOW Prophet and Messenger Muhammad PBUH but LOVE ONLY ALLAH.

But, we are asked to give SOLAWAT and SALAM to the prophet. All Prophets of Allah.

Somehow;

Someone says ;

we can love Rasul 
we can love our parents
we can love our children, spouses, siblings
we can even love our life and people who have been kind to us

even Quran said

"Beautified for mankind is the love of that which they desire - of women and sons, heaped-up sums of gold and silver, fine branded horses, and cattle and tilled land. That is the enjoyment of worldly life, but Allah has with Him the best return." (Qur'an 3:14)

this is natural love Allah has placed in humans

but if you love these things in such a way you consider them divine, that is shirk.

Do you UNDERSTAND what the Words in Arabic means ? And HOW Translation can be MISGUIDED ?

Do you understand what SYAHAWAT means?

Do you understand What we 'SHOULD' LOVE mean vs WHAT SYAHWAT LOVES mean ?

Do you understand what BEAUTIFIED (ZUYYINA) means ?


Aa-i-Imraan : 14

زُيِّنَ لِلنَّاسِ حُبُّ الشَّهَوٰتِ مِنَ النِّسَآءِ وَالْبَنِينَ وَالْقَنٰطِيرِ الْمُقَنطَرَةِ مِنَ الذَّهَبِ وَالْفِضَّةِ وَالْخَيْلِ الْمُسَوَّمَةِ وَالْأَنْعٰمِ وَالْحَرْثِ ۗ ذٰلِكَ مَتٰعُ الْحَيٰوةِ الدُّنْيَا ۖ وَاللَّهُ عِندَهُۥ حُسْنُ الْمَـَٔابِ

● Beautified (ZUIYINA) for people is the LOVE (HUBBU) OF THE DESIRE (SYAHAWAT) - of women and sons, heaped-up sums of gold and silver, fine branded horses, and cattle and tilled land. That is the enjoyment of worldly life, but Allah has with Him the best return. ●

and this is the next verse :

Aal-i-Imraan : 15

قُلْ أَؤُنَبِّئُكُم بِخَيْرٍ مِّن ذٰلِكُمْ ۚ لِلَّذِينَ اتَّقَوْا عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ جَنّٰتٌ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهٰرُ خٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا وَأَزْوٰجٌ مُّطَهَّرَةٌ وَرِضْوٰنٌ مِّنَ اللَّهِ ۗ وَاللَّهُ بَصِيرٌۢ بِالْعِبَادِ

● Say, "Shall I inform you of [something] BETTER (KHAIRI) than that? For those who fear Allah will be gardens in the presence of their Lord beneath which rivers flow, wherein they abide eternally, and purified spouses and approval from Allah. And Allah is Seeing of [His] servants - ●


ALLAH MADE and BEAUTIFIED those woman, our weatlth and our children - is TO TEST us - MEANING OUR SYAHAWAT (DESIRE) LOVES them. It is an EXPLANATION and not an INSTRUCTION.

But Allah mention - SOMETHING BETTER than that in the next verse that WE ARE INSTRUCTED TO DO, instead of FOLLOWING OUR SYAHAWAT (DESIRE) that LOVE those WORDLY ADORNMENT - INSTEAD , we are ASKED not to follow our SYAHAWAT - WE SHOULD abstain from LOVING THEM (Posession and Childrens)  :

Nooh : 21

قَالَ نُوحٌ رَّبِّ إِنَّهُمْ عَصَوْنِى وَاتَّبَعُوا مَن لَّمْ يَزِدْهُ مَالُهُۥ وَوَلَدُهُۥٓ إِلَّا خَسَارًا

● Noah said, "My Lord, indeed they have disobeyed me and followed him whose WEALTH and CHILDREN will not increase him except in loss. ●

Al-Hadid : 20

اعْلَمُوٓا أَنَّمَا الْحَيٰوةُ الدُّنْيَا لَعِبٌ وَلَهْوٌ وَزِينَةٌ وَتَفَاخُرٌۢ بَيْنَكُمْ وَتَكَاثُرٌ فِى الْأَمْوٰلِ وَالْأَوْلٰدِ ۖ كَمَثَلِ غَيْثٍ أَعْجَبَ الْكُفَّارَ نَبَاتُهُۥ ثُمَّ يَهِيجُ فَتَرٰىهُ مُصْفَرًّا ثُمَّ يَكُونُ حُطٰمًا ۖ وَفِى الْءَاخِرَةِ عَذَابٌ شَدِيدٌ وَمَغْفِرَةٌ مِّنَ اللَّهِ وَرِضْوٰنٌ ۚ وَمَا الْحَيٰوةُ الدُّنْيَآ إِلَّا مَتٰعُ الْغُرُورِ

● Know that the life of this world is but amusement and diversion and ADORNMENT / BEAUTIFICATION (ZIINATUN) and boasting to one another and competition in increase of WEALTH and CHILDREN - like the example of a rain whose [resulting] plant growth pleases the tillers; then it dries and you see it turned yellow; then it becomes [scattered] debris. And in the Hereafter is severe punishment and forgiveness from Allah and approval. And what is the worldly life except the enjoyment of DELUSION. ●

At-Tawba : 85

وَلَا تُعْجِبْكَ أَمْوٰلُهُمْ وَأَوْلٰدُهُمْ ۚ إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ أَن يُعَذِّبَهُم بِهَا فِى الدُّنْيَا وَتَزْهَقَ أَنفُسُهُمْ وَهُمْ كٰفِرُونَ

● And let not their WEALTH and their CHILDREN impress you. Allah only intends to punish them through them in this world and that their souls should depart [at death] while they are disbelievers. ●

Al-Kahf : 46

الْمَالُ وَالْبَنُونَ زِينَةُ الْحَيٰوةِ الدُّنْيَا ۖ وَالْبٰقِيٰتُ الصّٰلِحٰتُ خَيْرٌ عِندَ رَبِّكَ ثَوَابًا وَخَيْرٌ أَمَلًا

● WEALTH and CHILDREN are [but] ADORNMENT (ZIINATU) of the worldly life. But the enduring good deeds are better to your Lord for reward and better for [one's] hope. ●

Of Course eveybody HAS SYAHWAT that (DESIRE) LOVES those ZINATU (ADORNMENT of this wordly) - BUT ALLAH is telling us TO ABSTAIN from those LOVE, because the ZINATU = Wealth and Children = are not something to be proud of. OUR SYAHAWAT Loves Them of course! :

Al-Muminoon : 55

أَيَحْسَبُونَ أَنَّمَا نُمِدُّهُم بِهِۦ مِن مَّالٍ وَبَنِينَ

● Do they think that what We extend to them of WEALTH and CHILDREN ●

Al-Muminoon : 56

نُسَارِعُ لَهُمْ فِى الْخَيْرٰتِ ۚ بَل لَّا يَشْعُرُونَ

● is [because] We hasten for them GOOD THINGS? NAY,  NOT THEY PERCEIVE. ●

An-Nisaa : 27

وَاللَّهُ يُرِيدُ أَن يَتُوبَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَيُرِيدُ الَّذِينَ يَتَّبِعُونَ الشَّهَوٰتِ أَن تَمِيلُوا مَيْلًا عَظِيمًا

● Allah wants to accept your repentance, but those who follow [their] SYAHAWAT (DESIRE) want you to digress [into] a great deviation. ●

Maryam : 59

فَخَلَفَ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِمْ خَلْفٌ أَضَاعُوا الصَّلٰوةَ وَاتَّبَعُوا الشَّهَوٰتِ ۖ فَسَوْفَ يَلْقَوْنَ غَيًّا

● But there came after them successors who neglected prayer and FOLLOWED [their] SYAHAWAT (desires); so they are going to meet evil - ●

Please understand the meaning of VERSES of Allah.

Tadabbur or FIND THE MEANING BEHIND those verses PROPERLY. Read more the MUTASYABIHAT verses related to the SPECIFIC KEYWORDS in one verse so that you can make BETTER DEDUCTION instead of INDUCING your own opinion.

Dont follow assumptions (Your Own or Others).

May Allah GUIDE us all.

The words of ALLAH to explain those 'LOVE'  - for our family members -

'Love' our children -
'Love' our Parents - etc.

IS NOT from Arabic ROOT WORD ha ba ba which means LOVE.

Translation in another Languange is always a problem if we dont understand ARABIC words and start generalizing :

Al-Kahf : 81

فَأَرَدْنَآ أَن يُبْدِلَهُمَا رَبُّهُمَا خَيْرًا مِّنْهُ زَكٰوةً وَأَقْرَبَ رُحْمًا

● So we intended that their Lord should substitute for them one better than him [children] in purity and nearer to AFFECTION (RUHMA). ●

ALLAH uses different WORD that is rooted from RA HA MIM To explain this type of 'Love' or 'Affection'.

Maryam : 96

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ سَيَجْعَلُ لَهُمُ الرَّحْمٰنُ وُدًّا

● Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds - will bestow for them The MOST GRACIOUS AFFECTION (WUDDAN). ●

WUDDAN is another word for AFFECTION. These WUDDAN and RUHMA are the words that describes the 'Loves' or actually AFFECTION to our FAMILY MEMBERS and Brothers and Sisters in ISLAM.

But not LOVE from the word HUBBUN, HUBBA, TUHIBBU, YUHIBBU = THIS IS ONLY FOR ALLAH.

"Indeed, Allah, upon every things, ALL-ENCOMPASSING".

Innallaha WASI'UN 'alim.

"Indeed, Allah is SPACIOUSLY surrounding and ALL-KNOWING"
